Coming home doesn't mean the battle is over. With over 10 times the amount of veterans lost to suicide than to combat operations in the same time period, there has never been a more important time to TAKE A STAND and DO something to support our veterans!! If you or someone you know is suffering from PTSD, we have people that have shared a similar experience and are ready to help.
Veterans and active military reserve and guard service members we are looking for new people to join our post.
Please feel free to stop by the post any day between 1-7 pm pick up an application.
We offer free annual membership to active duty, reserve and national guard soldiers.
We have special incentives for individuals that want to become life members.
Your membership can be transferred anytime to another post of your choice.
We are positive that you will be impressed with our veteran and community involvement.
Feel Free to call or email the Post Commander Vic Parish.

VFW post 11079 is on a mission to help the many homeless Veterans in our great area by doing a "Back Pack Fill". Now through the third week of October 2019 the post will be collecting items and packs to fill. With the cold weather coming upon us and the holiday season please remember those that are not as fortunate as us. Many of these Veterans have given not only of themselves but also of their families. Let's do our part and show our support. The items collected will be:Medium to Large Back packs, Socks, hats, gloves, small tarps, warm blankets, long johns, hand warmers, rain gear, sleeping bags, personal hygiene items, non perishable items. Remember the non perishable items need to be things that do not need the usage of hot water or microwaves. If you want to support monetary this is also accepted and can be dropped off at the Post.Again, thank you for your support.Hosted by VFW 11079 of Elgin, SC
